Iron Horse Equestrian Center is located in Pleasanton, CA.

Our extensive renovations have turned this 11 acre property into a beautiful haven for horses and their people. From the moment you drive through our electronic gate, you will experience the exceptional taste and consideration that went into every detail of the planning, from the stone-rimmed bridle paths to the deeply-footed arenas.

  • A 28-stall “Barnmaster” barn with large, comfortable stalls with side windows that allow the horses to get to know their “neigh-bors”. The stalls are equipped with automatic, gallon size water feeders, rubber mats, and are deeply bedded with shavings that are cleaned 2-3 times per day. An automatic fly system keeps flies in check using organic, non-toxic spray.
  • 15 new partial-cover paddocks if you prefer having your horse live in the open. These large “mare motels” are beautiful spacious alternatives to barn living.
  • One fully-covered and lighted arena and three outdoor arenas. All four arenas have quality footing that is groomed daily and are fully equipped with horse jumps so that riders of all skill levels can learn and practice on competition-style courses.
  • Comfortable viewing areas that allow you to enjoy watching the riders in action as they train in one of the arenas.
  • 20 large turnouts where the horses are taken daily to kick up their heels, snooze under large oak trees, or just get nosey with other horses. These turnouts are equipped with an electric fencing system to ensure safety.
  • A brand new “Eurosizer” walker/exerciser to keep our hoofed friends in top shape.
  • Ten horse wash racks with access to warm water.
  • Landscaped bridle trails for warm-up walks or to extend that conversation with another Iron Horse rider after a lesson.
  • A gated entrance with electronic security code and full fencing.
  • A beautifully designed and outfitted ladies restroom with changing area, complete with paper booties to cover muddy boots.
  • New landscaping that includes yards of turf (for humans, not for grazing!), and stone-rimmed paths great for walking whether you have two or four legs. Even the local deer sneak in to enjoy it!
  • A large clubhouse to cater to our riding and non-riding family members and friends, complete with a full kitchen with personal wine closets where you can prepare a meal after your ride or relax and share time with other riders. Understanding that some of our non-riding family members have other ideas about how to spend their time, we are also equipping the clubhouse with a large-screened plasma TV for movie-watching or for catching that sporting event that might otherwise keep them at home.
